I know… It’s been here almost two weeks… but I am just now getting around for this post. It's incredible how much time flies when we get old. I remember how I waited for summer time as a kid and it seemed to take forever. I loved the end of the school year.. May…maybe time passed by so slowly because May is my birthday month. I couldn’t wait to be another year older! May to me was also the beginning of summer.
How times change!
I haven't been looking forward to this birthday at all. When my oldest son turned 30 eight months ago, I suddenly realized....wow....if he’s 30....that must make me.....well.....there's no other way to put it....I'm old!
I will now be a ½ a century old! WoW!
I know everyone says… “Where does the time go… “ BUT REALLY…
I can’t believe I am really 50! It really does seem like I was just in high school. Or just married… or just having my first child.
Oh well…
I’m a GRANDMA! YEA!
I LOVE being Nanna… can you tell? This whole webpage is dedicated to her… Jenna Joy and future grandbabies.
Somehow I will get through this milestone! Gravity isn’t helping much… but my family is.
I am still looking forward to summer and looking forward to times with Jenna Joy and my family in Oklahoma.

I can NOT believe you are 50. That is so crazy. It seems like you were in your 40's for 15 years! I hope my 30's feel like they last forever!

I had to laugh at your 1/2 century remark because I say that too.
I went out to breakfast this past weekend with my family. My great niece was there with us and talked my sister into telling the waiter that it was my birthday so they would sing to me.
Well the lovely waiter came up later and said "So which birthday is this for you? Are you 18 or 19?" Of course he had a big smile on his face.
I replied "Well how kind of you to say that but I can't lie I'm 29 years old now".
My great niece who is 7 looked up at the waiter and said "No she isn't! She is 50!"
Well, kids you got to love them. LOL
